Festive season is here again. For Christmas party or New Year bash, we’ve listed four delicious party snacks which are super healthy and also under 200 calories! Go on and try one without worrying about derailing from your diet.
Edamame Hummus
Ingredients:
Edamame – 200g
Garlic – 2 cloves
Lemon Juice – 2 tbsp
Parsley – ½ cup
Tahini – 2 tbsp
Instructions:
Boil the Edamame beans for 2 minutes and cool them in cold water.
In a blender, blend the parsley, Edamame, salt and water. Next add the rest of the ingredients and blend smooth to form a smooth paste and serve.
Vegetable Crisps
Ingredients:
1 med. raw carrot, peeled and thinly sliced
1 med. Beetroot, peeled and thinly sliced
1 med. sweet potato, peeled and thinly sliced
2 tsp olive oil
Salt and Pepper – to taste
Instructions:
Pre-heat the oven to 200°C. Dry the slices very thoroughly using a tissue or kitchen towel. Arrange the vegetables on a tray and pour the oil on them. Season with salt and pepper. Evenly coat them and carefully toss to mix well.
Bake for 10 minutes or until they are crisp and golden brown. Let cool and store in an airtight container.
Pesto Dip
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh basil leaves
3 garlic cloves
1/4 cup walnuts, toasted
1/4 cup olive oil
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
1 cup hung curd
2 teaspoons lemon juice
Instructions:
Add the basil, garlic, walnuts, olive oil, and salt into a food processor. Process until smooth.
In a large bowl, mix together the homemade pesto, sour cream, and lemon juice. Chill for at least 1 hour.
Grilled Sesame Cottage Cheese
Ingredients:
Paneer, cut into squares – 400g
Oil – 2 tsp
Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
Oregano, dried – ½ tsp
Basil, dried – ½ tsp
Salt and Pepper – to taste
Sesame Seeds – 2 tbsp
Red Chilli Flakes – ½ tsp
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix the oil, lemon juice, oregano, basil, salt, pepper and red chilli flakes.
Separate the paneer pieces on a plate and add the mixture. Make sure the paneer pieces are coated well and marinate for 20 minutes.
Lay the sesame seeds on a plate and coat the paneer with the same.
Heat a grill pan and place the paneer pieces until golden brown on both the sides.
